Taking first place in the "business" category was Hackleman Auto for their creative use of out-of-the-ordinary materials.
Esther Minton won first prize in the "individual" category with her scarecrow named the Bird Lady.

Get your 2010 Scarecrow application here! The Downtown Danville Partnership will host the 3rd annual Scarecrow Contest beginning on October 2nd when the 'CROWS' return to the square. Public voting will take place at downtown merchants through October 15th for the "People's Choice" award. All winners will be announced on Saturday, October 16th from 12 - 3pm at the 1st Annual Scarecrow Festival. The event will include food, games, music and of course a SCARECROW COSTUME CONTEST!
The entry fee is $5.00 and the first place winners will take home $100 and a trophy each!
